Frequently Asked Question - Do my runs have to be a loop (start and end in same place) or does it matter ?
Do my runs have to be a loop (start and end in same place) or does it matter ?
We say we PREFER for you to run a loop, or an out and back. Its not mandatory, however you are permitted to do a single one way run. Though any downhill gradient should not exceed -2%. If we see repetitive runs that appear to be deliberate 'gaming' of the rules by running downhill we will ask you to either run again, or run the next month's run to correct any excessive elevation loss. In short, sure you can run one ways, but be careful not to end up at a significantly lesser elevation than where you started.
